The Johnson County Domestic Violence Court Program was recognized April 14 for its service to crime victims during this week’s Crime Victim’s Rights Conference in Topeka. The Johnson County Domestic Violence Court Program was presented the Outstanding Court Victim Service Award by Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt during an awards ceremony this morning. The program was nominated for the award by Janeé Hanzlick, executive director of Safehome, Inc., Overland Park, and received a letter of support from Thomas Hongslo, Lenexa Chief of Police.
