Loading… Saturday, June 8, 2019 The State Highway Patrol, Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are still investigating a fatal plane crash that took place about 2 p.m. Friday afternoon in a rural part of Nash County One person, the unidentified pilot, was found dead at the scene. That victim has not yet been identified pending notification of the family. There was some confusion over whether there was a passenger in the plane. “We have heard conflicting stories about whether there were supposed to be one or two people on the plane.
