The refreshing thing about Maine State Music Theatre is its willingness to sprinkle its season with rarities. For every "Grease" or "Hello Dolly" there's a "Chamberlain" or "Million Dollar Quartet" — shows that are either unique to Maine State or have been off Broadway long enough to be considered rediscovered gems. And so we have "Treasure Island," which premiered at Pennsylvania's Fulton Theatre last year and comes ashore for the first time at Maine State.
