And when she’s thirsty, she enjoys a glass of water straight from the kitchen tap. At Nieto’s own house, the water pressure is so low it can take her 45 minutes to shower and shampoo. And sometimes there’s no water at all, which is why some of her neighbors hoard water in buckets. It’s fine for laundry and houseplants, but Nieto isn’t keen on drinking the stuff. The main pipe of her community water system runs straight down the middle of an irrigation ditch. A’s take tarps off; upper deck tickets $15 New A’s team president Dave Kaval continues to make moves popular with the fanbase, and on Tuesday, he took action on a longstanding fan complaint. Kaval announced on Facebook Live that the team was in the process of removing the third-deck tarps at the Coliseum on Tuesday. “Because the fans have spoken, the tarps are coming off!” he said via video while uncovering a row of seats. Kaval said that tickets in the third deck will be $15 for the remainder of the season, and on the next homestand, half the proceeds will go to Oakland Promise, which enables Oakland students to attend college. The decision will increase capacity by 12,103 to 47,170. Kaval also has acted on fan suggestions to move the team’s FanFest…
