Boat hits rocks, runs aground in Saco
SACO (WGME) -- A fishing boat ran aground and then partially sank Saturday afternoon after hitting rocks near a Saco beach, according to the Coast Guard. It happened around 12:30 p. m. at a rocky shoal off the coast of Ferry Beach. According to the U. S. Coast Guard, the 32-foot fishing boat was trolling in the area when it struck the rocks and began to take on water. Officials said there were four people on board but all were able to be rescued safely.

Hundreds of Small Earthquakes Felt in Jurupa Valley Area in Past Week
Residents in the Riverside County community of Glen Avon may be feeling a bit rattled with the recent slew of small earthquakes in the area, but the swarm of temblors is quite common, one local seismologist says. Data from Southern California Earthquake Data Center at Caltech shows hundreds of small quakes have been detected in the Glen Avon area in the past few days, but only two measured above magnitude 3.0. The residential area is part of the city of Jurupa Valley, northwest of the city of Riverside.
