January 21, 2019 - 13:30 Clifford Asbel (MarinaMan), 69, passed away suddenly in St. Barts in the West Indies on Jan. 4, 2019 Cliff is survived by his mother Gloria Asbel. He is also survived by his daughter Nerine Asbel and son Malachi Asbel who live in Hawaii. Cliff’s love for sailing and boating began while attending the University of Michigan. His first adventure was aboard a 27-foot sailboat that he sailed down the Mississippi to the Bahamas. He spent over 5 years in the Caribbean aboard his second boat, a 36-foot Hinckley named “Mantra,” providing day charters in St. Barts to a most selective clientele.
