KANSAS CITY, Mo. ' June 14, 2016, marks the 241st year of service from the United States Army. The U.S. Army has evolved drastically since it was originally organized as the Continental Army in 1775; battlefields have transformed, weaponry has evolved, faces have come and gone, military uniforms have varied, but one thing holds fast: the bravery and the heart of the individuals who wear the uniform, and their commitment to their mission.

The Concert Band and Soldiers' Chorus of the United States Army Field Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. July 8 at Wharton Center's Cobb Great Hall.
