Friday morning Pensacola City leaders joined environmentalists to unveil a new storm water treatment pond at Bill Gregory Park. The project has been in the works for more than a year and costing about $2 million, according to Mayor Ashton Hayward. The project was funded by a 2014 National Fish and Wildlife Foundation grant, which is funding a total of six similar projects across the region. The Bill Gregory Park pond will clean storm water runoff and feed it into Bayou Chico.
